I came to advisory work after a decade at sea — first as expedition staff on small-ship voyages in the Norwegian fjords and the Inside Passage, then as a guest-experience lead for a private-yacht operator in the Mediterranean and the Cyclades. I founded Coast & Compass because the best trips I helped pull off were never about the brochure: they were about the captain who knew which anchorage caught the morning light, the chef who quietly prepared an extra course because she remembered a guest's allergy, the tender driver who waited an extra fifteen minutes because someone wasn't ready to leave a particular cove.
